For “little death 6” I released a balloon into a bleak industrial estate car park. Just as I stopped filming a young woman came out of one of the units for a break. Not noticing me, she dashed after the balloon and rescued it. I retreated into my building and secretly filmed her as she sat holding the balloon looking at its face. After a few minutes she got up and returned to work taking her new friend with her. I was delighted by the way my intentions for the film were wrested from me by this chance event.
