There was a pull that made landscapes out of my body. My desire became embedded in the shore.

[[Small Pulls]] is a video that explores the desires, longings and pulls that play out across bodies and landscapes. It is about arriving on a shore and being compelled towards and interpellated by an unknown attractor. In the video, my hand is coated in magnetic powder as a magnet rotates underneath it so that polarities of attraction revolve across the surface of my skin. By conflating the physical body with an imagined landscape I extend the limits of my body as a libidinous surface across landscapes, histories and borders. Small Pulls strives to make a poetic connection between the ways in which the internal self is affected by external forces/narratives.
